According to local ABC News affiliate Denver 7, police investigating the theft of a Nintendo Switch 2, which was found while the vehicle was travelling through Colorado, stated that the systems were worth $1.4 million. However, investigators say they are still unaware of the precise location of the theft along the driver’s 1,332-mile journey, making it difficult to identify the perpetrator or culprits.
Was the truck expressly targeted and tracked from Nintendo’s Redmond, Washington headquarters as part of a prearranged operation? Was this a haphazard theft? Numerous pallets of Switch 2 stock were removed from the truck’s trailer, according to the police, indicating at least some degree of organisation. Police warn that if caught, the offender may be charged with several felonies related to theft. Meanwhile, the driver claims he had no idea he was shipping Nintendo’s new console inventory.
