Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater was “THE” sports game on the original PlayStation. THPS 1-3 and the THUG series are considered the best in the series. And the recently launched 1+2 remakes are also an amazing addition to the franchise. Furthermore, a new THPS game is well on it’s way.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater Countdown
THPS was hinted at in a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update earlier this week. The Grind is a skate park map that features a banner with the THPS logo and the date “03.04.25.” The countdown clock on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater’s official website now reads March 4, 2025, suggesting that an announcement is on the horizon.
In September 1999, Activision launched the original game. Despite the fact that the 25th anniversary has already passed, Hawk disclosed last year that he has been in communication with Activision regarding a celebration of that quarter-century milestone. Hawk subsequently affirmed the continuation of the venerable franchise.
Some predictions have been made about what THPS 3 + 4 would do. But a brand-new ghame would be a more alluring option. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 was the final entirely original game in the series to be released on platforms in 2015. Furthermore, it was previously reported that the next Tony Hawk game would be released as early as this summer. That seems highly likely given the announcement’s date.
