Apple And AI Access to News Publishing

The New York Times reports that Apple has begun talks with significant news and publishing companies in recent weeks. The business is asking for authorization to use its intellectual property so that it can create generative artificial intelligence systems. The business has proposed multiyear agreements to license the news story archives for at least $50 million.

Apple reached out to several news outlets, including NBC News, Condé Nast (publisher of Vogue and the New Yorker), and IAC (owner of Better Homes and Gardens, People, and the Daily Beast).

The Apple AI or LLM will not be available to the public for a long time. And it is also obvious that only Apple device users will be able to have access to it. In October, Apple also unveiled new MacBook Pro and iMac laptops that will support these AI Models.
