ASTRO member JinJin will not be joining the military due to health concerns. His agency, Fantagio, shared this news on June 2 through the group’s official fan cafe.
They explained that JinJin was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. After a detailed medical exam by the Military Manpower Administration, doctors found he would struggle with military life. He needs regular hospital visits and ongoing care, which makes military service difficult for him.
Fantagio said:
“JinJin doesn’t face major issues in daily life. But based on medical advice, his condition isn’t fit for the demands of military service.”
The agency reassured fans that they will keep JinJin’s health as their top priority.
JinJin, born in 1996, debuted with ASTRO in 2016 as the group’s leader and rapper. While he won’t be serving in the military, he remains active. He will perform with ASTRO at their 4th solo concert, “The 4th ASTROAD Stargraphy,” on June 7 and 8 at Incheon Inspire Arena.
Final Thoughts
Health should always come first, and we’re glad JinJin is receiving the care he needs. Fans continue to show strong support, and we can’t wait to see him shine on stage again soon—this time with peace of mind.
