Attrakt, the agency of Fifty Fifty, a girl group that has been called the “Miracle of Small and Medium Idols,” is forming a new girl group. The announcement comes amid a prolonged exclusive contract dispute with Fifty Fifty, which has been on the US Billboard chart for a long time.
In a press release on the 4th, Attrakt said, “We are starting a debut project to foster a new girl group. All members of the new girl group will be selected through an audition program, and the entire process will be open to the public.”
The specific audition schedule has not been released yet, but Attrakt said it will apply public preference as an important screening criterion. The company also said it will showcase planning and directing that are differentiated from existing auditions through this project.
Attrakt CEO Jeon Hong Jun said, “We have a destiny to continue creating new content for the sake of the investors who believed in and supported the company, the staff who work hard in the field, and the future of the company.” He added, “We are taking one step at a time with various projects, including a new girl group. We will move forward.”
Fifty Fifty decided to immediately appeal after the request for a temporary injunction to suspend the exclusive contract filed against Attrakt in June was dismissed last month.
