Blackpink member Rosé has reportedly signed an agreement to renew her contract with YG Entertainment. The remaining three members, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa, are reportedly in last-minute discussions with a “separately yet together” strategy of moving to other agencies, but spending six months out of the year working with Blackpink.
Jisoo and Lisa to Transfer to Other Agencies
Among the members, Jisoo, who is known for her acting career, and Lisa, a Thai member who enjoys great popularity overseas, are reportedly transferring for tens of billions of won in down payment.
Music industry insiders say that foreign investors invested a large amount of money after appreciating the potential of Jisoo, who has already reached the rank of world star and has endless potential as an actress, and the influence of Lisa, who enjoys immense popularity in the Southeast Asian market, including her hometown of Thailand. Both Jisoo and Lisa have reportedly signed contracts with domestic companies.
Blackpink to Continue Activities Despite Member Transfers
At the encore performance of the world tour “Born Pink” held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul on the 17th, Jenny expressed her intention to continue working as Blackpink, saying, “We will continue to be a great Blackpink.”
Blackpink, which debuted in 2016, is considered the top group that broke the first, best, and most K-pop girl group records.
