Blackpink’s Jennie is stepping outside her comfort zone and into the world of acting with her latest project, tvN’s mystery drama ‘Apartment 404’.
The show follows a group of six residents, including Yoo Jae-seok, Cha Tae-hyun, Oh Na-ra, Yang Se-chan, Lee Jeong-ha, and of course, Jennie, as they investigate strange events happening in their apartment building.
For Jennie, who is known for her singing and dancing, this is a chance to show off her acting chops and comedic timing. She says she was drawn to the project by the unique storyline and the opportunity to work with some of her favourite entertainers.
“I’ve always loved mysteries, and when I heard about the cast and crew of ‘Apartment 404’, I knew I had to be a part of it,” Jennie said. “This is my first time doing anything like this, so I was a little nervous initially, but everyone has been so welcoming and supportive.”
Jennie’s co-stars have nothing but praise for her work on the show. Yoo Jae-Seok, who previously worked with Jennie on the variety show ‘Michuri 8-1000’, says she’s a natural comedian.
“Jennie is so funny and quick-witted,” Yoo Jae-seok said. “She brings a lot of energy to the set and is always up for a laugh.”
‘Apartment 404’ premieres on February 23rd, and Jennie hopes that viewers will enjoy watching her and the rest of the cast solve mysteries and have some laughs along the way.
“I think viewers will be able to relate to our characters and the situations we get into,” Jennie said. “We’re all just trying to figure out life, one mystery at a time.“
