Blizzard has made a ton of games until now, including OverWatch and Diablo, which is an impressive catalogue. And now, it seems like they are trying to expand on it. Reportedly, it looks like Blizzard is working on an open-world shooter.

Blizzard Hiring For Employees For An Open-World Shooter
Blizzard is hiring for an open-world shooter game. This was disclosed in a November 13 job posting. However, the demand doesn’t go into great depth on the nature of the game.
According to the job description, Innovation will be the “owner of key strategic innovations and vision holder”. It also mentions an unnamed “open-world shooter game” that will be released soon.
The chosen applicant will assist in directing the project from conception to release by collaborating with Blizzard’s engineering, art, and audio teams. In particular, this phrase implies that the game may still be in its early stages of development.
The job posting states that a successful applicant can anticipate receiving at least $124,400 per year. And it even has the possibility of earning up to $230,300.
A StarCraft shooter is, or was, in production at Blizzard, according to a passage in journalist Jason Schreier’s new book, Play Nice: The Rise, Fall, and Future of Blizzard Entertainment, which was published just this week. It’s unclear if that has anything to do with this just-posted job posting.
Any new Blizzard shooter that is in development is not guaranteed to be released because Blizzard cancels roughly half of its projects due to the iterative process of game development.
