Bloodborne is, according to many people, the best souls game. What hurts it, though, is that you can only play it on PS4 and 5. And the worst thing about it is that you can’t even play Bloodborne in 60fps even on the current generation. Well, there was one way to do that but not anymore.

Bloodborne 60fps Mod Gets DMCA’d
Lance McDonald announced a 60 frames per second patch for Bloodborne in 2020, and on February 21, 2021, it was made available to the general public. Although the patch’s improvements required players to do additional actions, such as jailbreaking their PS4, it immediately became well-known as an alternative to Sony’s official improved PC and PS5 port of Bloodborne.
For around four years, Sony allowed this fan-made patch to remain available, however it is now no longer accessible. McDonald announced on X today, January 31, that he cooperated with a request from Sony to take down all references to their Bloodborne patch that runs at 60 frames per second. Finding and downloading the 60fps Bloodborne patch is now much more challenging than it was previously.
Why Sony took legal action against this 60fps patch so late is unknown. It recently teased Bloodborne fans by showcasing a video of the FromSoftware title that accompanies the phrase “it’s about persistence” in their video commemorating their 30th anniversary.
