CoD WildFire DLC
Players can now buy the LA Fire Relief Pack, a chic cosmetic package that comes with character skin and matching weapon skin, for Cod BO6 and Warzone. The Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation (LAFD) and Direct Relief will get an equal share of the bundle’s sales revenues, supporting fire relief efforts in Los Angeles.
“These donation efforts from Activision are to help support fire relief efforts, also allowing the Call of Duty community to get involved with helping those affected by the Los Angeles fires,” said Activision.
As stated on their individual websites, Direct Relief “equips health professionals in resource-poor communities to meet the challenges of diagnosing, treating, and caring for people in need,” while the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation “provides vital equipment and funds critical programs to help the LAFD save lives and protect communities.” Both charities accept direct donations through their respective websites.
Activision is not the only video game publisher to act in the wake of the fires; it has also made a direct donation of $1 million to fire relief funds in Los Angeles. Recently, Sony and Riot Games have started their own firefighter fundraising campaigns.
