In a recent court ruling, the Seoul High Court dismissed an appeal filed by three members of the girl group Fifty Fifty against their agency, Attrakt.
The legal battle began with Fifty Fifty initiating a request for a temporary injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with Attrakt. The court denied this request on August 28. In response, the members filed an appeal, with Keena, one of the members, withdrawing her appeal on the 16th and deciding to return to her agency, Attrakt. Notably, the court not only dismissed the preliminary injunction request but also ruled in favour of Attrakt on appeal. This time, the members’ claims, which included allegations of non-compliance with settlement obligations, were not upheld by the court.
As a result of the court ruling, Attrakt has terminated the exclusive contracts of the three members who appealed the decision: Seana, Sio, and Aran.
The CEO of The Givers, an outsourcing service company that was pointed out as the mastermind behind the Fifty Fifty contract dispute, appeared at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on October 24 for questioning.
