Discord is introducing new safety features for the platform’s teen users. Underage harassment and other similar cases are serious issues on the internet. Especially, discord since the majority of the platform’s users are below 18 years of age. There are also other things that have been changed on the platform.

Discord Safety Features
New “safety alerts” are being introduced, alerting children to the possibility of getting inquiries from strangers. Discord will send a safety notice to a teen who receives a DM from a user for the first time. This prompts them to confirm that they want to reply. If necessary, it will also provide options for users to ban each other or access more safety advice.

Discord will now notify users of posts that breach the site’s policies and request that they desist from posting contentious messages in the future. Failure to do so could result in the users’ account being banned from the platform.
Initially, an in-app notification from Discord will be sent to the user informing them of the exact post that violated the platform’s guidelines, along with an overview of the actions taken, account restrictions, and other details about the Discord policy or community guidelines that were broken.
Discord has added features for teen safety and warnings in addition to Remix, a meme-making tool, a custom app icon option for premium Nitro subscribers, and a new in-app shop where Nitro members can buy avatar decorations, profile accessories, new profile effects with animations, and more.
