Dragon Age: The Veilgaurd PC Optimisation blog
BioWare has published its latest development blog. The blog delves further into their efforts to optimise the PC experience, which include over 200,000 hours of performance and compatibility testing.
They also offered additional information about specific areas, such as Steam Native and Steam Deck Verified status. As previously stated, the game will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 as well as ray tracing. Today, the developers indicated that Intel Xess and AMD FSR 2.2 would also be featured. Ray tracing support now includes individual reflection and ambient occlusion settings, as well as an Ultra RT option for high-end systems.
They say that the bulk of Dragon Age players in the office use PCs, which helps them optimise the experience for PC users. When BioWare tested Dragon Age: The Veilguard, PCs accounted for 40% of the platform testing effort.
The blog article also discusses attempting to make the game as accessible to a broad audience as possible. For users who prefer to switch up their gameplay, they incorporated a seamless transition between the keyboard and mouse to the controller.
Bioware has enabled class-specific keybindings.
They’ve added a lot of visual settings, including support for 21:9 ultrawide monitors. Players can uncap their frame rate, disable the Cinematic Aspect Ratio, and many more options.
