Elon Musk and Anti-Semitic Tweet
Due to worries over antisemitism on X, some businesses have stopped advertising, including a post by Mr. Musk. The CEO of SpaceX and Tesla apologized for the message on Wednesday, calling it the dumbest thing he had ever shared online. However, his answer to a query concerning an advertising boycott by Disney, Apple, and Comcast sparked controversy at the assembly of influential figures in industry, politics, and society. “I don’t want them to advertise,” Elon Musk said about X advertisers.
Elon Musk really wasn’t pleased by what the advertisers were doing. According to him, they were going to ‘kill’ the platform. Linda Yaccarino, X’s chief executive also added that X was in the middle of “free speech and Main Street”. However, these advertisers don’t like the fact that their ads are placed next to Nazi content.
The CEO is confident that the advertisers will come back. Although the revenue of the platform has fallen by 50%, Elon Musk still believes that they need him.
