A lot of people are hyped for the release of GTA 6. This gives scammers a perfect opportunity to fish for some unsuspecting people. For some people, it’s too much to wait. While there are some legitimate leaks out there, there are many illegitimate ones. This time, Twitch itself has banned a Fake Rockstar Twitch channel offering fake GTA 6 Beta access.

Fake Rockstar Twitch Channel
The channel was streaming with the stream reaching its highest point with over 20K viewers. The channel even used the recognizable Rockstar logo. Because of the title, which read “GTA6 OUT NOW! [BETA] – Early Access Beta Test – Twitch and Steam Exclusive,” thousands of people tuned in in the hopes of gaining access to the GTA 6 beta.
It was interestingly revealed by the Twitter/X account that it was even a partnered Rockstar Twitch account, which was initially established in 2013. This certainly had been done on purpose to appear as legitimate as possible and to attract a large number of viewers in a short period of time. It permitted the channel to broadcast with a verification badge.
Some viewers claimed that it was a phishing stream to Steam accounts. Viewers who clicked on the link and entered their Steam login information are thought to have fallen victim to the hoax. The hackers might then access their personal information and perhaps even their financial information.
