Keena from Fifty Fifty will attend the Billboard Music Awards alone on November 19th. This comes after her agency, Attrakt, terminated the exclusive contracts of the other three members, Aran, Sio, and Saena, on October 29th.
Fifty Fifty is nominated in two categories at the Billboard Music Awards: Top Duo/Group and Top Global K-Pop Song. Moreover, Attrakt is also planning to reorganize Fifty Fifty by adding new members, including member Keena.
In June, four members of Fifty Fifty filed a lawsuit against Attrakt for a temporary injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts. Keena withdrew her lawsuit on October 17th and returned to the group.
At this year’s Billboard Music Awards, BTS member Jimin and the K-pop group NewJeans are nominated in multiple categories. Jimin is nominated for Top Selling Song, Top Global K-Pop Artist, Top K-Pop Album, and Top Global K-Pop Song. NewJeans is nominated for Top Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) Artist, Top Global K-Pop Artist, and Top K-Pop Album. Their song “Dito” is also nominated for Top Global K-Pop Song.
