Well, the actual Free Fire was actually banned in India. But according to reports, the game is making a comeback. The re-release is supposed to be on 5 September. Some of India’s most well-known sports figures, including Rahul Chaudhary of Kabaddi and Saina Nehwal, Sunil Chetri, and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, have associated with Free Fire.
Indian cricket legend MS Dhoni has been named the new brand ambassador for Free Fire India by Garena. He will be honored as the first Indian athlete to appear as the selectable character “Thala” in a video game. Other notable athletes, like Sunil Chhetri, the football captain, Saina Nehwal, Leander Paes, the defending tennis champion, and Rahul Chaudhari, the kabaddi champion, will join Dhoni.
Cricket is probably the only other thing about as popular as Battle Royale games in India. This cross-over seems to be a way for Free Fire to reach a whole new audience. Since everyone knows about MS Dhoni, This seems like a whole new venture. This also opens a lot of possibilities for more interesting and unexpected cross-overs.
