Nvidia and the Half-Life RTX Remaster
They made the news in their article which also mentioned some other things. The report focused on DLSS, AI Enhanced Ray Tracing, and Nvidia Remix. And most exciting of all, the Half-Life Remaster.
The Remaster is not done by Valve themselves but by “Top modding teams” as Nvidia stated. The game is not only going to see the implementation of RTX but updated assets too. Nvidia also published a video that is delisted for some reason.
This is not the first time Nvidia has done something like this. They have also worked on some other Valve games before, including Portal RTX. It also included games outside Valve’s catalog such as The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind.
This is great news since this is one of the rare times we hear any news regarding the series. Since Half-Life 3 is nowhere to be seen and remasters and remakes are something Valve doesn’t do. So, let’s just see how this turns out.
