Yoo, whose legal name is Uhm Hong-sik, stands accused of receiving 181 injections of propofol. Moreover, he also used medical drugs for cosmetic purposes at various Seoul clinics between 2020 and 2022. The indictment lists a total of 9,635.7 ml propofol, 567 mg midazolam, 11.5 ml ketamine, and 200 mg remimazolam.
Further charges include illegally obtaining 1,100 sleeping pills under false names on 44 occasions and engaging in marijuana use and coercion with others.
Yoo’s lawyer contested the accuracy of the propofol-related claims, suggesting exaggerations within the indictment. Before entering the court, the actor expressed his remorse for “causing concern to many people.”
The next court hearing for Yoo’s case is scheduled for January 23rd.
