Lego makes a lot of kits. They all range from their own sets, to movie and video game crossovers and a lot of other stuff. However, this time, Lego honours the amazing F1 driver, Ayrton Senna by introducing the iconic 1988 McLaren Honda MP4/4 F1 car.

Lego – Senna’s 1988 McLaren Honda MP4/4 F1
Ayrton Senna, a Brazilian Formula One driver who won the World Championship in 1988, 1990, and 1991, is regarded as one of the sport’s best competitors. Senna’s popularity and influence endure despite the short life he led due to an accident at the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
As part of its Icons series, Lego has developed a detailed model kit to commemorate Senna’s first Formula One World Championship and the vehicle that helped him win. While this is not the first time Lego has made a McLaren F1 car, it is certainly more special.
Lego set 10330, which includes 693 pieces, recreates the 1988 McLaren MP4/4 Formula One car in the red and white livery sponsored by Marlboro, (without the Marlboro branding, of course). Included in the collection is a figurine of Ayrton Senna, complete with a certificate, trophy, and his recognisable yellow and green helmet with a Brazilian motif.
Working steering, push-rod suspension, an adjustable rear wing, and a detailed engine designed to resemble the actual car’s Honda RA168E turbocharged V6 are all included in the model. You can get the set from the official Lego website.
