Everything We Know About Marathon
Although fans have been aware of Bungie’s next Marathon game for years, there haven’t been many specifics released about the project. The wait is now over because Bungie has released its first in-depth analysis of Marathon, outlining its features and the precise date of its release.
Bungie disclosed that the launch date of Marathon is September 23. At its essence, Marathon is an extraction shooter in which players choose from six playable characters. Groups of three players will be tasked with navigating maps chock-full of other gamers and scary NPCs. Up to 18 players can participate in a single match in the gameplay reveal. The aim is to gather loot and make it off the map alive.
Nevertheless, some people have doubts regarding the game. Some users have even gone so far as to compare Concord in the comments section of the introduction trailer. Fans don’t have to wait until September 23 to give Marathon a try, but it’s still much too early to know if it will live up to expectations. For those who are fortunate enough to receive an invitation, a restricted alpha of the game will be held on April 23.
