Melon, a music platform under Kakao Entertainment, has launched two new music listening services: Mixup and Music Wave.
Mixup is a service that automatically plays the next song after you select one. This is for users who don’t have time to choose music or have difficulty selecting songs. Mixup will show you songs you might like based on your listening history, and if you select just one song, it will quickly select other songs with a similar feeling. Read More –
Music Wave is a service that allows you to get together and chat while listening to music. There are various thematic channels, such as “POP to make your commute a little more cheerful” and “Raising travel tension.” You can also find artist-related channels, such as “Global stars visiting Korea” and “4th generation girl idol competition.” Just swipe up or down to find the right channel and enjoy music quickly and easily. Each channel supports continuous music playback like a radio, so you don’t have to add a separate playlist.
If there is no channel for the topic you want, you can apply to open a new one. Melon also plans to present various official events in collaboration with artists at Music Wave. Recently, the girl group STAYC held an event on Music Wave to reveal song selections and a message to fans.
In addition, Melon has added a Smart Playlist function that allows you to manage playlists equally on mobile and Windows PC. This means you can continue listening to the playlists you recently listened to, liked, or created on your smartphone or PC.
