The touch controls are now accessible in the Xbox mobile app beta versions, according to a recent Xbox Wire blog article. Microsoft has experimented with touch controllers in the past for Xbox mobile apps. However, before today’s revelation, the Xbox Cloud Gaming service was the most widely used approach.

According to a blog post on Xbox Wire, if you use the Xbox software on iOS, Android, or Windows devices, Xbox remote play will offer personalised touch control layouts “on over a hundred games”. Nonetheless, a standard touch control scheme will ” now be used for most other games.”

Of greater significance, the blog post disclosed additional upcoming changes to the Xbox hardware ecosystem. This included the addition of a new tool for recalibration of the thumbstick on Xbox Wireless controllers. Xbox owners will be able to recalibrate their thumbsticks with the new utility. A great tool for fixing small issues with the controller, such as erratic reactions. or if the thumbsticks on the gamepad need to be recalibrated after being recently changed.
