Monster Hunter is one of the most magical and whimsical games on Capcom. And of course, after the announcement of a new game, there would be a hype around it. However, most people didn’t think the hype around it would become this big. And now, Monster Hunter Wilds has hit 1 million concurrent players on Steam.

Monster Hunter Wilds Player Milestone
With an astounding 987,482 concurrent users, Capcom’s action adventure game, which debuted on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, swiftly rose to the eighth-most-played game on Steam ever.
For comparison, that is higher than the all-time highs of the best-selling books Elden Ring, Hogwarts Legacy, and Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s also important to keep in mind that, since neither Microsoft nor Sony disclose player counts, Monster Hunter Wilds’ actual top concurrent statistic will be significantly higher.
As Monster Hunter Wilds enters its first weekend of sales and beyond, the issue now is how high that Steam concurrent statistic can reach. It is expected to surpass Cyberpunk 2077 by surpassing the one million concurrents milestone later today. Is 2 million possible?
All indications suggest that the game will be a big success, even if Capcom has not yet disclosed a sales figure. Monster Hunter World became Capcom’s best-selling game ever after surpassing 25 million sales in just six years.
