Upcoming Games 2025
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii – Feb 21
Release Date: Feb 21
As we approach the first half of 2025, Pirate Yakuza is one of the most anticipated video games. Goro Majima wakes up with amnesia and sets sail on the high seas in the Yakuza spinoff role-playing game. He is a fan favourite from the long-running series, and a game with him as the main character is undoubtedly intriguing.
These days, Wackier is superior to the Yakuza franchise. Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will seem like a million amazing games in one if it’s anything like the amazing Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Civilization VII – Feb 11
Release Date: Feb 11
It’s said that the Risk-style strategy game will get a significant update in its seventh edition. According to Games Radar, the city builder will span three ages: Ancient, Exploration, and Modern. In addition, each age will have a new civilization for players to choose from. This is one of six characteristics that will influence future gameplay.
Monster Hunter Wilds – Feb 28
Release Date: Feb 28
Capcom’s most recent adventure game, Monster Hunter Wilds, takes players to a brand-new, uncharted world where they must, well, hunt monsters. To produce the greatest possible combination of Monster Hunter Worlds and Monster Hunter Rise in a single game, the developer hopes to capitalize on the popularity of both titles.
Cooperative multiplayer and monster behaviours that vary according to the weather and time of day will be included when Wilds arrives.
Borderlands 4
Release Date: TBA
There is a lot more competition for the well-liked looter-shooter franchise than there was for Borderlands 3, which came out in 2019. However, Gearbox Software, the game’s developer, is optimistic that devoted fans will return for the upcoming release. After all, a May 2022 report stated that Borderlands 3 had sold over 15 million copies.
Doom: The Dark Ages
Release Date: TBA
The plot of Doom: The Dark Ages is a prelude to the 2019 relaunch of the Doom series, but I’m fairly certain it just means we’ll be getting some swords and shields in addition to our arsenal of firearms. The Dark Ages might yet have some mysteries if the metal dragon in the teaser is any indication.
“Techno-medieval” is a feature of Doom: The Dark Ages. I do not doubt that the future shooter will be successful just for that reason.
Elden Ring: Nightreign
Release Date: TBA
I believe that FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki informed IGN that there would not be an Elden Ring sequel before the 2024 Game Awards video (seen above). Nevertheless, Elden Ring: Nightreign, which is scheduled for release in 2025, will make the terrible ordeal of repeatedly dying for the same boss a common event.
It appears like FromSoft made everyone’s illicit multiplayer mods an official product, which is a nice thing, rather than a full-fledged sequel.
GTA 6
Release Date: TBA
According to reports, the upcoming game in the wildly popular genre has a Bonnie & Clyde-style plot and is set in Vice City. The sheer volume of leaks from Rockstar Games makes it difficult to distinguish between what is merely a rumour and what is official. However, once they have GTA 6 in their hands, fans are simply praying everything goes without a hitch.
Perhaps no video game has ever been more eagerly awaited than the sixth instalment, which is probably due to the pressure to create a great sequel.
