The National Assembly’s Environment and Labour Committee is calling NewJeans’ member Hanni and ADOR’s CEO Kim Joo Young to attend a workplace harassment audit on October 25th. This comes after concerns about Hanni’s experience with bullying and mistreatment at HYBE.
Earlier this month, Hanni went live to share her experience at HYBE, revealing an incident where she greeted a group of people in the building. Although they initially tried to greet her back, their manager intervened and told them to ignore her, making her feel isolated. This raised questions about how HYBE handles workplace interactions and respect.
Kim Joo Young, as ADOR’s CEO, will face questions regarding the company’s response to Hanni’s allegations, which have been seen as lacking or insufficient. Both Hanni and Kim Joo Young are required to attend the audit unless they provide a valid reason for their absence. However, if their reasons are deemed unjustified, the committee can file a complaint or issue a formal summons for non-compliance.
