Other companies provide way better handheld devices. People even speculated that we will get The Nintendo Switch 2 before Tears of the Kingdom releases. However, it seems like an official announcement is quite near.

Nintendo Switch 2 at Gamescom
Pikmin 4 and Super Mario Kart 8 Deluxe could be played on last month’s Nintendo public Gamescom show. This show took place in Cologne. However, rumors claim that Switch 2 developer presentations were also held secretly. Zelda BotW had been updated for the Switch 2 demo to meet the Switch 2’s more powerful target specifications. This was mainly done to give a gist of the console’s power.

Nintendo has not yet made plans for the inevitable Switch replacement public. Although new hardware is anticipated to debut in 2024. This news has been leaked before. And an actual release date is certain.
According to a new source, Switch 2 will launch later in the year. This is also supported by the fact that development kits are already in the hands of several important partners. However, Nintendo would prefer to launch the device as soon as feasible in terms of scheduling. Nintendo has publicly confirmed a robust line-up of games to see the current Switch through the rest of 2023 and into the beginning of next year.
