Yup, Nintendo is evil and very anti-consumer. We keep repeating these sentences like a broken record. I would love not to bring it up, but Nintendo just keeps upping itself in this regard. While suing pirates themselves wasn’t enough, to seize a Nintendo Switch piracy site, they got the FBI involved.

FBI Seizes Nintendo Switch Piracy Site
According to Kotaku, the website, which had thousands of pirated Nintendo Switch game copies, was taken down this week. This was in compliance with a seizure request filed by the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Earlier this year, the website was already on the EU’s radar for piracy. Throughout its existence, the Nintendo Switch has had problems with piracy. Despite system updates aimed at reducing the pervasive game piracy, Nintendo continues to be the major console with the largest piracy issue.
Hundreds of users frequently livestream themselves on TikTok and YouTube playing pirated versions of Nintendo’s biggest releases in the weeks before they happen. These pirated versions are frequently obtained via an early retail copy being released online and extensively circulated.
Although Nintendo hasn’t yet seen the same volume of problems with the Switch 2, the company is still involved in a number of legal disputes with organisations that engaged in Switch piracy and emulator developers.
