The release of The Legend of Zelda – Tears of The Kingdom is just near the horizon. You may wondering of getting a Nintendo Switch to get the slice of the experience. You may also be wondering, What actually is Nintendo Switch price in India, If you are an Indian that is. Don’t worry, This article is compiled just for these reasons. I will tell you about the the costs you can expect and if it’s even worth getting the console or not.

How Much Does a Switch Costs?

Currently, if you look online, You can find a Nintendo switch for roughly Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 29,000. On Amazon, One is available for Rs. 26,999. On Flipkart, You can buy The White one for Rs.27,990 and The Black one for Rs. 28,999.

For the OLED version tho, You will have to pay couple thousands extra. These are not cheap and can go for Rs. 30,000 to 35,000. Amazon is selling a Pokemon edition Switch for Rs. 35,299 and standard ones for Rs. 30,000. You probably won’t be able to find a Switch OLED for any less than 30,000 rupees, at least currently.

Nintendo has reported that their Nintendo Switch sales have actually declined by 22%. The company has reportedly sold only 17 million units this year. Nintendo doesn’t have much confidence for the next year too. They expect the Switch to go even lower to approximately 15 million units.

Nintendo says that the price of materials has actually lowered. However, this does not mean that there will be any price reduction of the console on Nintendo’s part. Nintendo officials say, “…overall costs remain high.” The production cost is not affected much so there may not be any discounts. Even in this fiscal year the company is going through.

Should You Buy One?

We will actually not recommend that you buy a Nintendo Switch at this time for a number of reasons. Firstly, Switch is now a 7 year old console but is still priced as a brand new console. The thing can barely the game currently being released on it. The Device will probably be obsolete in the few years.

Secondly, Nintendo is probably going to release a new console. Rumors say it will probably be a sequel to Nintendo Switch names Switch 2 or Pro. There isn’t much time left for its release so if you can wait for some time, and have some more money to spend, You can get a way better deal. However, if you just want a portable console and don’t care about the new releases, get yourself a Switch. It is fun anyways.
