The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered was released after it was leaked. It hasn’t even been a day and the game is already sitting on “Very Positive” on Steam. This is somewhat surprising coming from Bethesda, as the last two games they made weren’t as positive.

TES 4: Oblivion Remastered
Even though the game is called Remastered, it stays in the middle of a remaster and a remake. For example, the animations, movement, and systems are mostly unchanged from the original. Even the voices are the same. However, every graphical asset has been handcrafted again for a modern audience.
Even the score remains the same, which is a plus in our book. However, it still features many modern improvements such as uncapped framerate, DLSS and frame gen and many more. Players have also reported it is much more stable than the original game.
Here are some reviews from Steam
“Golden standard for what a remaster should be. More or less rebuilt from the ground up as if its a new game based off the standards we expect today, not just slapping some new textures on old assets and shipping it.”
“This remake is great. Just as a remake is meant to be.”
“Just as awesome as I remember. I haven’t played oblivion in about 10 years or longer and this remaster is a trip down memory lane. It looks absolutely stunning and runs just fine on high on my 3060 ti. So far I haven’t had any crashes or game breaking glitches. Definitely worth it.”
The reviews show that the remake succeeded in what it was supposed to do. Let us hope we will get a Fallout 3 Remastered with the same treatment.
