PirateFi Removed From Steam
Valve has been informing users who downloaded PirateFi about the takedown, according to PC Magazine. Valve advises users to perform a full system check with antivirus software, as seen in the screenshot taken from SteamDB and reproduced here. The business advises players to think about completely reformatting their operating systems to get rid of any potentially harmful apps.
The number of players’ PCs infected by PirateFi is unknown. Users on Steam’s board reported that the game wouldn’t launch, even though SteamDB only displays five players at its height.
The majority of those individuals wouldn’t appear on SteamDB as active gamers if that were the case. The user who uploaded the tale thinks the game developer’s account was managed by an AI program. PC Magazine reports that there was a job offer on Telegram for an in-game chat moderator for PirateFi.
