Pokemon Go is bringing out its Spotlight Hour event, where a specific Pokemon takes center stage for one hour, offering trainers a chance to encounter it more frequently. In July 2023, Pokemon Go trainers are in for a treat with an exciting lineup of featured Pokemon during the Spotlight Hour.

What is Pokemon Go Spotlight Hour?

The Spotlight Hour is a recurring event in Pokemon Go that occurs for an hour. During this one-hour period, a particular Pokemon is heavily featured in the game, appearing more frequently in the wild. Trainers have a higher chance of encountering the chosen Pokemon during this time, providing an opportunity to catch rare species, gather Candy, and potentially face shiny variants.

July 30 will also feature Community Day, letting trainers enjoy the benefits of training and evolving their Pokemon through Community Events.

July Spotlight Hour Schedule

All Pokemons features during the spotlight hours will offer increased bonuses from 6 to 7 PM Local time. They will also increase the chances of encountering shiny variants of the said Pokemon.

July 4th, 2023: Rufflet
During spotlight hours, the Pokemon will get 2 times the Catch Stardust

July 11th, 2023: Wailmer
During Spotlight hours, the Pokemon will get 2 times the Catch XP

July 18th, 2023: Rhyhorn
During Spotlight hours, the Pokemon will get 2 times the Catch Candy

July 25th, 2023: Yungoos
During Spotlight hours, the Pokemon will get 2 times the Transfer Candy

Plan Ahead: Take note of the scheduled Spotlight Hour Pokemon and mark your calendar to ensure you don’t miss the event. Prepare your Poke Balls and stock up on any necessary items beforehand.

Explore High-Spawn Areas: Visit areas known for their high Pokemon spawn rates, such as parks, famous landmarks, and densely populated urban areas. These locations offer a greater chance of encountering the featured Pokemon during the Spotlight Hour.

Play with Friends: Team up with fellow trainers to cover more ground and increase the chances of encountering the desired Pokemon. Sharing sightings and tips can also enhance the overall experience.
