Roblox Remote Workers 3-Day Policy
David Baszucki declared that a number of remote employees would either be fired or forced to perform a three-day workweek. Baszucki said that each remote worker has been approached with detailed information on how their position would be impacted by the new policy. The company will also offer a severance package to those who are let go.
Roblox CEO also said concerned remote workers will have until January 16, 2024, to choose whether or not to stay on staff. Workers who decline to move will have three further months to find another job. Each employee’s degree of service and conditions of service will determine the exact severance payout. However, all packages include six months of healthcare for all members of that employee’s plan.
The corporation, which informed staff members in May of last year that they could still work remotely, is changing its approach with this policy. Another goal of Roblox’s offering is to combine virtual and real-world workspaces. Recently, Roblox opened up an in-game recruitment center. Prospective workers could learn more about the company and even schedule an interview to apply for a job.
