The remake won’t be available on “other formats” until October 8, 2025, at the latest, according to a new clip that was posted on the PlayStation YouTube page and noticed by Eurogamer. October 8, 2024, is when the game launches on the PC and PS5.
Although the term “other formats” is ambiguous, Xbox consoles and maybe the Switch 2 are undoubtedly included. The next PS5 Pro, which goes on sale on November 7, will, of course, support the Silent Hill 2 remake.
For Silent Hill 2, Sony and Konami’s collaboration has produced a year-long system exclusivity. Complete support for the DualSense’s functionalities, such as dynamic lightbar, adjustable triggers, and haptic feedback, is also included.
The game will also be lengthier; it should take about 16 hours to complete. Though there are a lot of gameplay modifications that will come with this lengthier version compared to the original, the story seems to be staying the same. Bloober has been adamant about keeping the original game’s plot intact.
