Warhammer Space Marine was fairly liked by the fans of the series. This good first impression sets high hopes for the sequel. However, as soon as the news came that the game might go live-service, players got a bit disappointed. However, Space Marine 2 apologised saying that such will not be the case.

This time, the backlash has been so strong that Focus has expressed regret to fans and given them the assurance that Space Marines 2 would not undergo a live-service makeover.
Focus Entertainment mentioned in this week’s community update that they have seen a lack of enthusiasm for the Community Events since they were first launched. Additionally, they stated that they had no plans to turn Space Marine 2 into a full-fledged live-service game. Everyone will have access to the products made accessible through events later.
To compensate fans, all players that link their PROS account to Space Marine 2 will now be able to get the emblem-less Mk VIII Errant Helmet for free. Prior to this modification, players would only receive the helmet if they had won in each of the six classes in Operations mode prior to the conclusion of the Imperial Vigil community event.
Focus Entertainment revealed its 2025 “substantial” update roadmap for the game earlier this year. With Henry Cavill playing a key role, the Warhammer 40,000 live-action series on Amazon Prime Video may finally move forward outside of the game.
