After a long time since Spider-Man 2 was released on the PS5, the game is officially coming to PC. Sony did take action against the unofficial version of the game a month ago, so it’s no surprise that it took them this long. Anyway, let’s look at some more info regarding the game.

Spider-Man 2 Official PC Port
Officially, Spider-Man 2 will launch on PC on January 30, 2025. The game will be available on the Epic Games Store and Steam. The development will once again be handled by Nixxes Software, which was involved in porting the two previous Spider-Man games.
Notably, by declaring that the studio has “no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2,” Insomniac seems to dash hopes for its long-rumoured Venom DLC.
PlayStation’s PC releases have been both a boon and a bane. Fans are griping about the contentious need for a PlayStation Network membership. The most recent PC version, God of War Ragnarök, received mixed reviews due to the feature.
It would interesting to compare it to the currently available unofficial port of the game. It will also give us a glimpse of how much things can differ when an actual, professional studio works on a port with all the resources.
