Spider-Man 4 Casting
There was a chance that Toby Maguire would have received his long-awaited Spider-Man film. Or maybe Andrew Garfield would have earned a role in the next MCU instalment. First and foremost, THR has announced that Destin Daniel Cretton will direct the next Spider-Man. We will see Tom Holland reprise his role as Spider-Man.
Previously, Jon Watts directed the last three MCU Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland: Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home. Cretton will now be in charge of Sony Pictures and Disney’s Marvel Studios cooperation.
It will be interesting to see where Spider-Man 4 takes us, especially given Peter Parker’s sacrifice in 2021’s No Way Home. It featured the epic returns of Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield. No release date has been announced for Spider-Man 4 at the time of writing but it might be safe to assume that it could be two or three years away.
