After only two weeks, Split Fiction is now EA’s second-best-selling game on Steam. According to reports, a Split Fiction movie is currently under development. Hollywood studios are anticipated to engage in a bidding war for the property.
Variety claims that Hazelight is getting back together with Story Kitchen. Story Kitchen is the media firm that assisted in the sale of the film rights to It Takes Two. According to the article, before Split Fiction is sent to possible purchasers. Hazelight and Story Kitchen are already putting together a cast, writers, and a director for the pitch.
The game centres on Zoe and Mio, two young women who were strangers before they were stranded together in a jumble of their own fantasy and science-fiction works. The two women must learn to cooperate and apply their skills to survive the experience in order to get out of the virtual world and back to reality.
Since Mass Effect 2 in 2012, Split Fiction is the first game from EA to score 90 or higher on Metacritic. Split Fiction is expected to be among the best-selling games of March, since Hazelight revealed earlier this month that it had already sold two million copies.
