Squid Game Season 2 ended on a cliffhanger. It is quite obvious from the information out there that the Squid Game Season 3 will be the end of the story. However, the creator of the series suggests that this really may not be the end of everything.

What Happens After Squid Game Season 3?
Hwang Dong-hyuk, the creator of Squid Game, hinted earlier this month that although Season 3 would mark the end of the plot he had originally envisioned, a spin-off that concentrated on the “three-year gap between Season 1 and 2” was possible. Lee Byung-hun, who plays Front Man in Squid Game, has now hinted that the franchise might not end with the third season of the show.
Byung-hun said to The Gamer, “Director Hwang keeps saying it’s a finale. But when I first read the script, I felt it could be a finale, but at the same time, it could be a new start.”
Is Byung-hun implying that the games might go on after the series’ conclusion? Or that any athletes who are still alive have more to tell? Supporters have pointed to a third-season teaser that seems to depict a different setting for the Squid Games. Does the Squid Game that is played in South Korea have the potential to become a spin-off from a larger, global Squid Game enterprise? “It’s my personal opinion,” Byung-hun continued, “but if the audience’s love and support increase, we’ll never know what happens.”
