Nintendo Switch 2 Announcement Time Frame
By the end of March 2025, Nintendo has reaffirmed that the Switch successor would be unveiled. During an online press conference on Tuesday, Nintendo’s most recent earnings figures were released. Company president Shuntaro Furukawa made the announcement.
According to analysts, Nintendo is unlikely to make an announcement this year because doing so might affect sales in the run-up to the 2024 Christmas season.
Nintendo, however, has reduced its prediction for Switch hardware sales for the remainder of the fiscal year from 13.5 million to 12.5 million. While hardware and software sales have decreased by 31% and 27.6%, respectively, Nintendo has recorded a 34% decline in net sales overall. However, it is obvious that the release of the Switch 2 will definitely shake things up for the better.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is still Nintendo’s best-selling game ever, with 64.27 million lifetime sales, while lifetime sales of Switch hardware—OLED, regular, and Lite models—have already surpassed 146 million units.
