Of course, The Day Before was one of the biggest disappointments of the decade, next to Concord. The game shut down only four days after its release. Fntastic, also started a new Kickstarter campaign for their next game and it didn’t go well either. Yet, even after that, they will give it another try.

The Day Before Dev’s Last Resort
Only $2,388 of the $15,183 goal was raised by Escape Factory. The project sought to provide a multiplayer cooperative experience based on physics. The studio said in a social media statement that Escape Factory would be put on hold.
Fntastic accepted “full responsibility” for The Day Before’s shortcomings. This included deceptive advertising, serious technical problems during launch, and claims of player fraud. As it moves to the recently revealed initiative, they pledged to be open and involve the community. Consequently, all funders will receive their money back, and Escape Factory production will be put on hold for a while.
According to Fntastic, the studio’s choice to switch to Items was influenced by the many requests it had gotten for a prop hunt game. “We have received many requests for a prop hunt game, and after careful analysis and discussion with the team, we have decided that our Escape Factory project has not generated enough interest,” Fntastic said.
Alongside Items, the developer also revealed intentions to make mobile games, with the money made from these apps going straight toward development expenses.
Propnight, which Fntastic previously launched, has its problems, such as a server outage earlier this year. A subsequent Kickstarter campaign might fund the items, giving players the chance to try the game out before its formal release.
