Guilty Gear Strive is getting a new character DLC, and it turns out it is a crossover with Cyberpunk. To be more precise, it is Lucy from the Cyberpunk Edgerunners anime. The anime is regarded very highly, and the new character blends amazingly with the art style. More information is further below.

Guilt Gear Strive X Lucy From Cyberpunk Edgerunners
Arc System Works, the creator of Guilty Gear Strive, gave a preview of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners’ Lucy during the Evo 2025 fighting game event. They also confirmed that the DLC guest character will be available on August 21. The last playable character in Strive’s Season Pass 4 is Lucy, who is taken from the wildly successful Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Netflix series that came out after CD Projekt’s Cyberpunk 2077.
Time pauses in the trailer while Lucy utilises Cyberdeck Ram to choose from a variety of Quickhacks, including Algorithm Malfunction, Optics Inhibition, and Energy Siphon, in the same constrained manner as in Cyberpunk 2077.
Then, through icons that appear above their avatar, we watch Lucy’s opponent suffering from the hacking debuffs. These indicators seem to clear rather rapidly and are the same ones from Cyberpunk 2077. Does Lucy mean that Guilty Gear Strive’s DLC is coming to an end? It appears that more is on the horizon, four years after its debut.
Alongside that message was a video announcing that Guilty Gear Strive 2.00 would be released sometime in 2026 and that Strive had 3.5 million gamers since its introduction. At the moment, nobody knows what that means for gameplay. The video teased two new characters, Robo-Ky and Jam Kuradoberi, who many are saying are maybe more intriguing.
