OLED monitors are more than just an overpriced gimmick now. They are as expensive as medium range non-OLED gaming monitors and provide amazing picture quality. However, if you’re still on the fence because of the budget, Alienware might have a gaming monitor for you.

The Alienware AW2725D OLED Gaming Monitor
The newest and least expensive 27-inch 1440p OLED from Alienware. This summer, the redesigned design will be available for just $549.99. Given its 280Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms reaction time, that is an incredible bargain for an OLED display.
The Alienware AW2725D offers the “sweet spot” 1440p resolution, which is now very popular, along with the standard gaming perks like G-Sync and FreeSync support. Along with some enhanced aesthetics, Alienware has a new stand design. Additional technical information will need to wait until the North American “Summer 2025” release date.
A few additional OLED announcements are also included. The AW3425DW model is an upgrade to Alienware’s well-liked 34-inch ultrawide. This version maintains the 3440 x 1440 resolution while increasing the speed to 240 Hz. It also has a USB-C connector, albeit it can only charge at 15 watts. Given its $799.99 launch price, I believe many PC gamers will be ready to overlook the fact that this still won’t be the best one-cable companion for gaming laptops. The release date of this one is April 29, 2025.
Aleinware is also releasing a new 27-inch IPS-LCD monitor that offers color-accurate images in 1440p if an OLED is too expensive for you. For most gamers who aren’t attempting to increase their K/D ratio, the fast IPS panel’s 180Hz refresh rate should be plenty. It costs $270 when it launches on Dell’s web store tomorrow, March 6, 2025.
