Netflix has confirmed that former Big Bang member TOP will be playing a retired idol in the upcoming second season of “Squid Game.”
The news was first reported by SBS, who said that TOP’s character will be a singer who has fallen on hard times and is now struggling to make ends meet. TOP’s casting has been met with mixed reactions from fans. Some are excited to see him return to the entertainment industry after a four-year hiatus, while others are concerned about his past legal troubles.
TOP was sentenced to 10 months in prison and two years of probation in 2017 for smoking marijuana. He has since said that he has no intention of returning to his old ways and that he is committed to making a positive contribution to society.
