Disney’s Fortnite Project
It appears that the Disney initiative in Fortnite has finally reached a major milestone.
The Disney partnership with Fortnite has progressed to the “stable” build/branch of development, according to Fortnite insider HYPEX’s social media posts. This release is noteworthy since it probably indicates that the developers have advanced significantly as production moves on to the next phase.
Disney has given Epic Games almost $1.5 billion to help develop the new content, whatever it may be.
Disney is collaborating with Epic to develop “a place where you can play games, be social, and can generate their own content,” according to Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro. D’Amaro basically stated that Disney wants to build a whole universe in which all of our stories can be realized.
Even while this new Disney/Fortnite partnership hasn’t happened yet, the two businesses have already collaborated on a variety of content, most recently adding Disney villains and Pixar characters to the playable roster. There was a variety of Star Wars content prior to that.
