Xbox Showcase – February
IGN has announced that an Xbox Showcase will kick off this year’s IGN Fan Fest on February 24. Other than the announcement of Balatro Collaboration, not much is known. The showcase announcement does mention several indie studio reveals. Those include Raw Fury, Team 17, Akapura, 11 Bit, and others.
Microsoft revealed World of Warcraft: The War Within, Doom: The Dark Ages, plus 2025 games. This includes South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Fragpunk, and Fable during one of last year’s Xbox Showcases. We can only guess which games will be shown in February, but we would like to see more of the upcoming prequel to the popular shooter series, Gears of War: E-Day.
Some cross-platform announcements will probably be included in this Xbox Direct given Microsoft’s efforts to release more games on the PlayStation 5. Halo: The Master Chief Collection has been rumoured to be heading to Sony’s platform for months, while Microsoft recently announced that Forza Horizon 5 will be available on the PS5. Later this year, Doom: The Dark Ages and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will also be released for the PlayStation 5.
