Windows 11 3D Emojis
Microsoft’s 3D Fluent emoji are finally coming to Windows 11. It had been two years since their inclusion was announced. The new emoji are accessible with Windows 11 build 23506 which will most likely be available to the general public in a few months.
You may recall that two years ago, Microsoft launched the first big redesign of its emoji since 2016, unveiling attractive new 3D-coloured designs that appeared to be a significant step ahead. Microsoft used 2D versions of the emojis before. They simply did not add the 3D emojis to Windows 11. Even after Microsoft announced that will be adding these new great-looking designs to the OS.
The simple reason given for their non-inclusion is system limitations. The older color font used by Microsoft used vector graphics which was not enough for the 3D designs. The new color font used in Windows 11, COLRv1 actually renders the emojis perfectly.
