There has been a lack of good fun demolition racing games. I am not sure we will be ever getting a new FlatOut game soon. However, Wreckfest was one of the games that could easily scratch that itch. And now good news, Wreckfest 2 is well on it’s way.

Wreckfest 2
The announcement was made during today’s THQ Nordic 2024 showcase.
In the introduction trailer, a gloomy mechanic alternates between melodramatic lamenting over his wrecked vehicle and an in-game driver camera. All of this occurs while he slings trash language while barreling down a dusty track while other cars collide and sideswipe one another.
Wreckfest 2 will have a revised, remodelled physics engine designed to take use of modern hardware. This implies it will have “even higher crash fidelity, a deeper armour and damage system, and more intricate component damage simulation.”
Wreckfest 2 is also focussing on revamping key game modes, beginning with increased automobile customisation. There will also be single-player challenges with cars that you should not attempt to race on a racecourse. It will also have multiplayer, skill-based matching, and a local split-screen option.
