Xbox 360 Store finally shut down after 19 years. The console is objectively the best we have ever seen, being only rivalled by the PlayStation 2. The platform gave rise to many games and franchises which are the pinnacle of gaming. New players, however, won’t be able to purchase games anymore.

Xbox 360 Store Shut Down
Larry Hryb, the ex the senior director of corporate communications commemorated the occasion on X. He stated that it was a pleasure sharing all the thousands of marketplace sales and updates he has given over the years. Hryb departed Xbox just over a year ago after 22 years at Microsoft, where he was most recently.
In August 2023, Microsoft announced that the Xbox 360 shop would close on July 29. Additionally, the Microsoft Movies and TV app will no longer function on Xbox 360 devices, preventing you from viewing your content on those platforms.
However, Microsoft has stated that any backwards-compatible Xbox 360 (and original Xbox) titles would continue to be available for purchase on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox.com. Meanwhile, the store’s closure will have no effect on online multiplayer support for Xbox 360 games, which is dependent on publishers and developers.
