Nintendo Switch 2, released 3 days ago, is available in major stores. Ofcourse, the demand is high, however, it is so high that it’s hard to keep units coming. The units are so scarce in fact, that you can no longer place a Switch 2 preorder.

Nintendo Switch 2 – No More Preorders

Additionally, GameStop declared that they are stopping its online pre-orders. When or if retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, Target, or GameStop would reopen their presale windows is still up in the air.

To be eligible for the preorder registration, they must, however, have played for 50 hours on their current Nintendo system. Additionally, presale candidates must have a valid Switch Online membership for a full year.

Nintendo will begin sending out invitations for the first batch of pre-orders on May 8, according to The Verge, although fans won’t get their systems until June 5th, the day of release. Nintendo has already warned its Japanese consumers that they might not be able to fulfil all of their preorder requests due to the incredibly strong demand for the Switch 2.

Due to significant worries about US government tariffs, Nintendo moved the preorder dates for the Switch 2 to April 24. Nintendo had previously claimed that the system would cost $449.99, but the company has now raised the price of its peripherals.
